Reh Continues to Coach RIL Storm Chasers In-Training RIL Storm Chasers In-Training, Jo & Jessie Himes, took their cues from NBC17's Bill Reh. These girls learned how radar is used in forecasting weather, as well as experienced their own time on the green screen! They were also introduced to the production side of a newscast. We won't be shocked when we see your faces along side Bill's for future weather forecasts! NBC17 will be lucky to have you as their future meteorologists!
RIL Storm Chasers Visit Bill Reh What a week to have Storm Chasers! Not a cloud in the sky all week plus record breaking temperatures for the Triangle. Whew! It's been a hot one!
However, our Storm Chasers in training still managed to find ways to beat the heat as well as make their mark in Rock It Learning history, making their forecasting debut with local meteorologist Bill Reh of NBC17.
As our time at NBC17 came to an end, we left with two potential meteorologists as well as one potential news director. Not bad for our first time on the road!
Thanks NBC17 for bringing storm chasing alive for our RIL meteorologists in training.
Rock It Learning Featured on NBC17 Rock It Learning hit it big in the Triangle area Friday, May 16 when NBC17 Sergio Quintana came out for a visit. Sergio quickly fell into Rock It Learning mode... launching straw rockets and testing parachutes. He was having so much fun that he even listened as Kieran and Drew Morris explained how to build and crush a bridge to find its efficiency. He then checked out the equipment used for our Weather and Lights & Laser modules. Caught up in the experience, Sergio actually launched rockets with the Rock It Learning crew.
Falls Fire Department Public Safety Day We had a great time at the Falls Fire Department Public Safety Day at Wakefield High School on May 31. Lots of straw rockets were launched, and our new water siphon game was a hit. Call us if you'd like Rocket It Learning at your next school fair or community event.
